How It Works
From first inquiry to final delivery. Every step. Full transparency.
Six steps. Complete clarity.
Nothing left to assumption.
Every YIM session follows the same defined process, not because it is rigid, but because a clear process is what makes the creative space feel safe. When you know exactly what to expect, what is in writing, and what your rights are at every stage, the work itself can breathe.
This page walks you through every step from your first message to the moment your images are in your hands.
Your Inquiry
Everything begins with a message, yours, on your terms, at your pace. The inquiry form asks for the basics: who you are, which tier interests you, your general availability, and whatever you’d like to share about your vision. You are never required to share more than you’re comfortable with at this stage.
There is no commitment attached to an inquiry. It is simply the first step in a conversation.
An inquiry opens a conversation. It does not reserve a date, trigger an agreement, or commit you to anything.
Every inquiry receives a personal response within 48 hours. Never an automated reply. From Jeshua directly.
Your name, contact information, and the fact that you reached out are strictly private from the first message.
The Conversation
Before a session is ever confirmed, there is a direct conversation, by phone, video, or message, whichever you prefer. This is where your vision is defined, your questions are answered, and your comfort level with each tier is discussed without pressure or time constraint.
The session tier is not chosen for you. It emerges from an honest conversation about what you want the final work to look like and what you are comfortable with during the session itself. If that takes more than one conversation, it takes more than one conversation.
The Agreement
When you are ready to move forward, you receive the complete documentation package for your chosen tier before anything else is confirmed. You are encouraged to read every document in full, ask questions about anything that is unclear, and seek independent advice if you wish.
The core agreement for your tier is accompanied by the supporting documents applicable to your specific session.
Core Agreement-
Model Agreement & Release (Tier-Specific) The primary legal document governing your session. One of six tier-specific versions, each scoped to your consented level of work. Covers copyright, consent, confidentiality, right to stop, and image use terms.
-
Session Venue Confirmation Confirms the location of your session, address, access, and venue-specific terms agreed to by both parties before arrival.
-
Model Safety Acknowledgment Confirms you have read and understood the safety protocols that govern your session, your rights, the no-touch policy, and your right to stop at any moment.
-
Age Fraud Indemnification Addendum A legal document that protects both parties in the event falsified identification is presented. Required at every tier, regardless of session content.
-
Assistant Non-Disclosure Agreement If any third party is present during your session, they are bound by a separate NDA. Your identity and session content are protected regardless of who is in the room.
-
Session Cancellation & Reschedule Agreement Outlines the terms for canceling or rescheduling a confirmed session, notice windows, any applicable terms, and the process for rebooking.
The Preparation
Once the agreements are signed and your session date is confirmed, there is a preparation phase designed to make the day itself feel as natural as possible. You will receive guidance on wardrobe, logistics, and what to expect from the session environment.
YIM sessions book 60 to 90 days in advance. That window is not a waitlist. It is the preparation itself. Venue scouting and reservation across private historic locations in Arlington, Alexandria, McLean, and the surrounding DMV area, full wardrobe planning across tops, bottoms, footwear, jewelry, and headwear, and the pre-session coordination work that makes the day run cleanly all require time to do at the level this work demands. Every model on the calendar receives the same depth of attention. The lead time is what separates a crafted session from a rushed one.
The location, address, parking, and any access details for your session are confirmed and documented in advance.
Specific direction for your tier: what to expect, what works well on camera, and how to prepare for the session’s visual goals.
Any last questions before the day are addressed directly. You should arrive with complete clarity about what the session will look like.
You may step down to a lower tier or cancel at any point in this phase, per the terms of your Cancellation & Reschedule Agreement.
The Session
On the day of the session, everything is already documented and in place. You arrive knowing exactly what the session is, what the environment looks like, and what your rights are. The only thing left is the work.
Direction is verbal throughout, no physical contact, ever. You are guided through poses with language and demonstration. The conversation that began in the inquiry continues through the session: your instincts, preferences, and comfort shape the work as it happens.
All posing is communicated through words and demonstration. The Photographer will never physically touch you to adjust your position.
Your right to pause, step down to a lower tier, or end the session is absolute and unconditional throughout. No penalty. No explanation required.
The session operates entirely within the scope of your signed agreement. Nothing is photographed above your consented ceiling, ever.
The session space is private. If an assistant is present, they have signed a separate NDA. No unauthorized persons have access to the session.
The Delivery
After the session, images are edited and prepared for delivery. The final edited selection is delivered through an encrypted channel. Never through unprotected email, cloud links without password protection, or third-party platforms you did not choose.
Delivery is documented through a signed Image Delivery Receipt, which is a formal record of what was delivered, when, and through which channel. This creates a clear, permanent record for both parties.
Three Delivery FormatsEvery final image is delivered in three purpose-built formats, each optimized for its intended use. Platforms compress and reprocess images on upload, often degrading quality in ways that are invisible at first and damaging to a professional portfolio. These formats are engineered to prevent that.
Optimized for self-promotion across Instagram, Facebook, X, and similar platforms. Sized and compressed to the exact specifications each platform renders best, so your images upload clean, display sharp, and are not further degraded by the platform’s own processing when you upload.
Formatted for use on personal websites and digital portfolios. Sized for fast load times without sacrificing quality, calibrated for accurate browser rendering, without the image degradation that comes from using a print file on the web or a social file in a portfolio.
Full-resolution files prepared for professional print shops, sized and color-profiled to produce clean, accurate physical prints at any desired size. If your print shop has specific format requirements, forward them and the files will be reproduced to their exact specifications at no additional step.
-
Image Delivery Receipt Formally documents the handoff of your final edited images, the selection delivered, the delivery date, formats included, and the channel used. Signed by both parties as a permanent record.
What every session guarantees
at every stage.
These are not policies that change session to session. They are the non-negotiable conditions every session is built on.
Everything in Writing
No verbal commitments. Every agreement, every protection, every boundary is documented and signed before your session date is confirmed.
No Physical Touch
Direction is verbal and demonstrative only. The Photographer will never physically adjust your position or make contact of any kind.
Right to Stop. Always.
At any moment, for any reason, you may pause, step down to a lower tier, or end the session entirely. No penalty. No pressure. No explanation required.
Never Sold or Licensed to Third Parties
Images are never sold, licensed, or transferred to any third party for commercial use — ever, at any tier. YIM may use images for portfolio and promotional purposes; you receive a personal self-promotion license for your own accounts.
Full Confidentiality
Your legal identity, session details, and venue are strictly confidential and will never be disclosed to any third party. YIM will never publicly identify you by name, alias, or tag in connection with any image or post.
No AI Alteration
AI is never used to alter your body, digitally undress you beyond your consented scope, or create synthetic versions of you. What you consent to is what is delivered.
What models
ask most often.
Artistic Style Clause
Every session I photograph carries the same aesthetic signature: the same lighting approach, the same editorial restraint, the same tonal palette. That consistency is not accidental. It is the work.
Before you book, spend time in this portfolio. If what you see here is what you want for your portfolio, we are likely a strong fit. If the style is not what you are looking for, that is equally useful information, and the right answer before a session begins rather than after.

The next step is yours.
When you’re ready, or simply curious, the conversation begins with a message. No commitment, no pressure, no timeline.
